Duptribe

Duptribe은 독일 출신의 두 일렉트로 뮤지션 Felix Retter와 Sasa Mlinarevic의 유닛으로, 두 사람이 자신들의 음악으로 대중들과 소통할 방법을 모색한 끝에 2003년에 창립한 레이블 Hilltribe을 통해 선보인 첫 프로젝트이다. 이들의 첫 EP에 수록된 ‘S.O.S. (The Sound Of Silence)’는 팝 음악사에 남을 전설적인 팝듀오 사이먼 & 가펑클(Simon & Garfunkel)의 원곡으로 더스틴 호프먼 주연의 영화 ‘졸업’의 사운드트랙으로 유명한 ‘Sound Of Silence’를 감각적인 일렉트로 사운드로 새롭게 재현한 곡으로 발매와 동시에 독일의 클럽 챠트 No.1을 차지했고 라디오나 언론, 심지어 디제이들에게서까지 폭발적인 반응을 얻었다. 이후 두 번째 EP 역시 챠트 No.1을 차지하며 다시 한번 저력을 증명한 이들은 이후 2005년 드디어 첫 정규 음반인 “The 2nd Creation”을 발매, 괄목할만한 성공을 거두게 되고 이 앨범을 통해 일명 ‘Traveller Beats’라 명명한 Duptribe만의 독특한 스타일을 선보이게 된다. 이후 발매한 리믹스 앨범 “The 3rd Creation” 역시 실력파 동료 아티스트들의 대거 참여와 함께 좋은 반응을 얻었으며 최근 최신 싱글 “Blackbird Song”을 발매하며 여전히 건재함을 과시하고 있다. .... ....
