The Dining Rooms

The Dining Rooms는 이탈리오 출신의 두 명의 프로듀서 Stefano Ghittoni와 Cesare Malfatti에 의해 결성된 일렉트로닉 음악 프로젝트이다. 두 사람 모두 과거에 펑크/뉴웨이브 씬에 몸담으며 다양한 음악활동을 해온 바 있으며, 현재 Stefano는 이탈리아에서 가장 크고 유명한 클럽 중 하나로 밀라노에 위치한 Magazzini Generali의 레지던트 디제이로 활동하며 디제이로서의 커리어를 성공적으로 쌓아가고 있고 Cesare는 포스트-블루스 프로젝트 ‘La Crus’의 창립 멤버로 활동하고 있기도 하다. 이 두 사람은 1998년에 처음 팀을 이루고 99년에 데뷔 앨범 "Subterranean Modern Volume 1"을 발매, 힙합과 훵크에 기반을 둔 비트와 블루지한 기타, 멜랑콜리하고 몽환적인 이미지가 조화를 이루는 독특한 텍스쳐로 주목 받은 뒤 꾸준히 앨범, 싱글을 발매함은 물론 다양한 아티스트들의 리믹스도 작업하며 다방면으로 활동해왔다. 라이브 퍼포먼스 역시 초창기의 단순한 디제잉 셋에서 차차 발전, 현재에 이르러서는 5인조 편성의 밴드와 함께 하는 일렉트로닉-라이브 셋으로 그 형태가 완성되어 모든 면에서 한층 발전된 프로젝트로 거듭났다. .... ....
