INTRODUCTION
UB40 (유비포티)는 1978년 영국 버밍햄에서 4명의 흑인과 4명의 백인으로 결성된 8인조 남성 팝레게 그룹으로 UB40 (Unemployment Benefit No.40: 영국의 실업수당 신청카드 40번)라는 이름에서 느낄수 있듯이 등한 다민족 공동체를 모토로 내걸고 다분히 서민적인 체취를 풍기며 빈곤 속에서 살아가고 있는 하층민들의 애환을 레게라는 장르를 통해 대변하려 했다. 특히 시그니처송 ‘Red Red Wine’와 엘비스 프레슬리의 고전인 ‘Cant Help Falling In Love’ 등을 통해 전세계의 팬들의 뇌리에 가장 성공한 메인스트림 레게 그룹으로 남아있다. ....  ....
