2000년 말 당시 최지훈(보컬&기타)과 이형석(기타&보컬)은 새로운 스타일의 밴드를 구상하던 중 카셋트 라디오에서 이 버튼을 우연히 보고 테잎이 돌아가는 정도를 표시해주는 숫자를 다시 ‘0’으로 맞추어 준다는 점에서 힌트를 얻어 ‘처음부터 다시 새롭게 시작해보자!’ 라는 의미로 팀 이름을 'COUNTER RESET '으로 개명하고 드럼과 베이스를 새로 영입하여 같은 해 5월 클럽활동을 시작했다. .... ....

90년대 중반 한국 인디씬의 붐 형성에는 펑크가 중요한 역할을 했다고 해도 크게 틀린 말은 아니다. 그것은 90년대 초 미국의 얼터너티브 열풍에 대한 해석과도 상통하는 일면이 있다. 뮤지션의 입장에선 솔직한 표현과 열정, 그리고 감각만 있다면 기존의 고된 '수련' 없이도, 또는 그것이 비본질적인 것임을 역설하며 보다 쉬운 연주와 구조의 펑크를 통해 밴드 뮤지션이 될 수 있었다는 것이고, 다른 측면에선 기성 주류음악에 실망해 새로운 것을 찾고는 있지만 다른 장르에는 거리감을 가졌던 어린 학생들이나 20대 초반의 젊은층에게 접근이 용이했다는 면도 있었다. 좁은 클럽에서 친근하게 몸을 섞을 수 있었던 것은 모두에게 새롭고 신나는 경험이었을 테다. 96년쯤 이미 소녀팬들을 몰고 다니던 위퍼(Weeper), 그리고 ...
