산조는 전통음악 가운데 기악독주곡의 꽃이라 볼 수 있고, 민요는 여럿이 주고받으며 부르는 민중의 노래이다.
장구 장단 대신 여러 서양악기가 만나 청자들에게 힘이 있으며 이질감 없는 공감대를 선물하고자 한다.
해금연주가 이태경은 전통을 기반으로 여러 예술장르와 다양한 시도를 해왔다.
한국문화재재단(2004)과 문예진흥기금(2006)지원을 받아 전통에 대한 애정이 담긴 공연을 선보였으며, 2016년과 2017년에는 산조만으로 독주회를 열었다.
음반 ‘이태경 해금[위대한 사랑]’과 도서출판 서사원 ‘이야기365’ 자장가 11곡을 녹음하였으며, 해금의 본질적인 미를 탐구하고 동시대적인 공감을 이끌어내기 위해 노력하고 있다.
한국예술종합학교, 숙명여자대학교대학원을 거쳐 단국대학교 국악과 박사과정을 수료하였다.
현재, 국가무형문화재 제1호 종묘제례악 이수자이며 이태경컴퍼니 대표이다.

This album presents Lee Tae Kyung’s performances in two traditional genres - sanjo and minyo - with the purpose of sharing the spirit of traditional music with the listeners of our time.
Sanjo is said the quintessence of traditional instrumental music of Korea. Minyo can be defined as “songs of/for/by common people.” This album in which various Western instruments are used instead of janggu hopes to sound more friendly and thereby help our listeners to be easily attracted by traditional music.
She has made several performances with the supports from the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (2004) and the Developing Fund of Culture and Art (2006). In 2016 and 2017, she made her stages solely focused on sanjo. Trying to explore what aesthetic fundamentals of haegeum are and how they can be shared among the music listeners of our time, she released her album [Lee Tae Kyung’s Haegeum: A Great Love] and also recorded 11 lullabies for the project [Iyagi 365] by Seosawon Publishing Company. She studied at Korea National University of Arts (undergraduate), Sookmyung Women’s University (master) and Danguk University (Ph.D. Candidate, Korean traditional music). She is a holder of Jongmyo jeryeak (Royal ancestral ritual music of the Jongmyo shrine, National Intangible Cultural Property No.1) and also the chief manager of the Lee Tae Kyung Company ....
