cotoba (코토바) [Orangette] 전작 EP [날씨의 이름]에서 ‘일상과 삶의 치열함’ 다루었기에 이번엔 생의 기쁨과 슬픔, 간절함이 담긴 곡을 만들고 싶었다. 또한 행운의 상징인 오렌지를 모티브로 한 '오랑제뜨'로 희망적인 가능성을 표현하였다. 기존 발매 곡과 다른 4/4로 박자를 설정하여 드럼의 다이내믹을 구상하였다. 베이스는 묵직하게 자리하여 드럼과 기타 사이의 균형을 적절히 맞추면서 악곡을 진행시키도록 연주하였고, 일렉기타는 필요한 만큼의 math rock & emo 스타일 아르페지오와 섹션을 첨가하였다. 후반부에서는 많은 양의 공간계, 퍼즈와 디스토션 톤을 이용한 연주와, 노래하는 듯한 기타 라인을 통해 듣는 이의 감정의 울림을 가져올 수 있도록 구상하였다. 성가나 동요처럼 정직한 발음으로 노래하여 넘치지 않는 감정선을 유지하려 노력하였다. 삶이 쥐여준 열매를 레몬(고난)이나 오렌지(행운)로 결정하고 살아가는 것은 오랑제뜨를 듣고 이 글을 읽으시는 각자의 손에 맡긴다. - cotoba 프로듀서/기타리스트 Dafne .... ....
