INTRODUCTION
일렉트로닉 팝의 뉴 트렌드 “로즈라인” - Your Smile 로즈라인(RoseLine), 어디서 들어본 듯한 친숙하면서도 무언가 신비스런 이름이다. 국내에서 대중들에게 ‘로즈라인’이 기억 속에 각인 된 것은 댄 브라운의 베스트 소설 [다빈치 코드]에 그 유명한 생 쉴피스 성당이 언급되면서 부터 일 것이다. 정확히 남북을 축으로 서 있는 성당의 바닥에 새겨진 ‘로즈라인’은 북극과 남극을 잇는 경도 0의 ‘본초 자오선’을 의미한다.
또 서양인들에게 장미(Rose)는 영혼을 바른 곳으로 인도하는 상징적인 꽃으로 숭배되어 왔다. ‘이 장미로 수 놓은 아름다운 선’ RoseLine을 쫓아 가면 일렉트로닉 프로젝트 ‘로즈라인’을 만날 수 있다.
로즈라인의 프로듀서 CisTrans는 최근 마로니에 걸즈 “하얀 연인들”, 앨범에 타이틀 곡 “널 사랑해” 를 리메이크 하였고, 스웨덴 일렉트로닉/신스팝 밴드 Capsize, RainDancer등의 음악을 리믹스한 실력 있는 프로듀서이다.
이번 싱글은 미국 유명 일렉트로닉/신스팝 레이블 ADD에서 작사를 하고, “북극처럼 차가운 음색”을 가지고 있는 김 민정이 피쳐링을 맡았다.
특히 이 음악은 국내 게임 회사의 아직 비공개 단계인 북미/유럽 수출용 게임에 국내 Electronic 아티스트 곡으로 수록될 예정이다. 이 게임에 수록될 음악으로는 RoseLine 의 “Your Smile”, DJ Mindcube의 “Waiting For The Sun”, 미국 일렉트로닉 Wideband Network의 “Just Like That” , Nevarakka의 “I’m Trying”등이 있다. 이 중에 RoseLine, MindeCube 와 같은 국내 프로젝트 팀의 곡들이 선정되어 영어 버젼으로 제작되었다.
‘로즈라인’은 서양의 정서와 역사가 함축된 의미 있는 단어이다. 이 의미 있는 단어가 퇴색되지 않도록 ‘로즈라인’이 새로운 트렌드의 독특한 일렉트로니카 음악을 선사하길 기대해 본다. ....  ....
