Sam Evian, was inspired by the global protests in the wake of the George Floyd killing. Follows lead single “Easy to Love,” which streamed upon release on Aquarium Drunkard [“an extremely frisky boogie”]. Prior album Follows You, Forever [2018] was called “gentle, sunny, yet boldly honest” by Pitchfork. As a producer and engineer, Evian has worked with Big Thief, Widowspeak, Anna Burch, Cass McCombs, Okkervil River, Cassandra Jenkins, many others. He performed at the 2021 Non-Comm Convention. ....
